
Micromech Group Environmental Policy Statement |
Micromech is a professional and environmentally conscious organisation, which acknowledges the impact that our operations may potentially have on the environment. The clear objective of Micromech is to minimise any impact on the environment by:
- Complying with all relevant global environmental legislation and regulatory controls
- Taking steps to prevent pollution, reduce waste, promote recycling and ensuring that wherever practical, measures are implemented to protect and preserve the environment
- Taking action to eliminate or reduce, as far as practicable, any potentially adverse environmental impacts
- Taking all practical steps to ensure that potential hazards and risks to the environment are identified and that suitable and effective preventative and control measures are implemented
- Minimising the generation of waste and disposing of unavoidable waste in a responsible manner
- Using natural resources and energy efficiently and reducing consumption wherever possible
- Recycling raw materials wherever possible.
All employees are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation of this policy and shall be provided with the necessary resources, equipment, information, instruction and training to fulfill its requirements.
Micromech shall promote environmental awareness amongst our suppliers, contractors and partners.
Where appropriate Micromech shall assist customers to use products and services in an environmentally sensitive way.
Consideration shall be given to the effects that our operations may have on the local community. Micromech shall seek to work in partnership with the community by behaving in an environmentally responsible manner.
We shall strive to continually improve our environmental performance. Our environmental performance shall be regularly reviewed against realistic and achievable objectives.
The Directors have overall responsibility for all environmental matters. The operation of this policy and the associated procedures shall be monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they remain current and applicable to Micromech activities.
